You raise an important point, Lars. I think the line between using AI as a tool and becoming overly dependent on it can become surprisingly thin!!
What interests me is whether “lazy” is always the right word, though…
Sometimes we may simply be adapting to convenience. When information is available instantly, the brain naturally has less incentive to search, question, compare or work through uncertainty on its own.
And I agree with your last point. What we feed AI matters enormously.
The quality of the interaction still depends on the context, assumptions and judgment we bring into it.
For me, the real question becomes: Are we using AI to extend our thinking or increasingly using it to avoid thinking?
That distinction may become much more important as AI becomes embedded in everyday life. Cheers😉
